Apologia by Alexi Kaye Campbell
Apologia, first performed in 2009 at the Bush Theatre, London, is about two sons, Peter and Simon, and their mother Kristin, an art historian and peace activist of the 1960s. As a young mother she followed her politics and vocation, storming Parisian barricades and moving to Florence. Alexi Kaye Campbell captures the crackling tensions in a family when the grown-up sons are in a position to challenge their mother for her perceived behaviour to them as children.
